SANDIA DERMATOLOGY
TREATMENTS
Exceptional Medical Care
Optimal skin starts with optimal medical care. We perform full body skin exams, biopsies, mole removal, and destruction of benign, pre-malignant, and malignant skin lesions. It is critical to accurately assess the current state of the skin before building the foundation of beauty.
Skin Cancer Screening
Skin cancer is the most common cancer, but it is also one of the most treatable if caught early. We offer comprehensive skin cancer screenings to help detect and treat skin cancer in its early stages. Dr. Singh has trained with national and international leaders in dermoscopy, the use of magnification combined with both polarized and non-polarized light to examine the skin. According to Dr. Singh, dermoscopy has both helped him diagnose melanomas in their earliest stages and helped him avoid biopsy when a lesion with pigment was clearly not melanoma.
Neuromodulators
Botox and its "chemical cousins" are safe, effective, and reliable, but they are not for everyone. While the goal is to reduce the activity of facial muscles so that wrinkles can relax, when used properly, they can provide natural results and be part of a comprehensive plan for rejuvenation and "pre"juvenation.
Fillers
It isn't gravity that causes drooping of the face; it's volume loss. The aging process causes predictable changes in the bone, fat, muscle, and skin of the face. By knowing how these tissues age and understanding how to artfully intervene, a rested, best version of yourself can be achieved. There are now 21 F.D.A.-approved fillers in the United States. With all that choice, there's bound to be confusion. Choosing what's right for your needs is key.
Acne Treatment
Acne is both a medical and psychological condition. It leaves scars and memories. Combination therapy is a must, and so is targeting the root causes of an individual person's acne. We work as a team to determine what past therapies have failed and why. Then we develop a plan ranging from the counters, prescriptions, compounded medications, chemical peels, and energy-based treatments, along with dietary analysis and review of the most up-to-date medical literature.
Inflammatory skin disease
Eczema, psoriasis, lichen planus, and an array of other medical conditions are external reflections of internal processes. Thankfully, there have been more advances in the treatment of these diseases in the last decade than at any other time in the era of modern medicine. Using both modern technology and ancient wisdom, these conditions are manageable and, in some cases, curable.
Microneedling
Microneedling, also known as collagen-induction therapy, is a minimally invasive treatment that penetrates your skin’s upper levels with fine needles to improve its appearance. It is a controlled wounding, with a controlled healing phase that results in improved smooth lines and wrinkles, skin tone, pore size, and scars (even acne scarring). Microneedling has also been shown to be effective at inducing the regrowth of hair in non-scarring hair loss, such as age-related androgenic alopecia.
Intense Pulsed Light
Intense pulsed light (IPL) is an energy-based device that can be filtered to treat a wide range of skin diseases and aging processes. Evidence shows that energy deposited in the skin can trigger self-healing pathways. It is one thing to prevent damage from UV light moving forward. But how do you make up for past indiscretions? The skin has a memory of a lifetime of chronic, unintentional sun exposure. IPL can undo that damage and produce rejuvenated skin.
Chemical Peels
Chemical peels range from superficial to deep in the level of penetration of the skin. Some are lunchtime peels with no downtime. Others require IV hydration, anesthesia, and weeks of recovery. With a range that broad, chemical peels can be used for a variety of medical and cosmetic purposes. Pre and post-procedure care is imperative, as it is with all dermatologic procedures.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
PRP uses growth factors extracted from your own blood to rejuvenate the skin. It can stimulate hair regrowth, collagen, and elastin synthesis and has been used in a variety of fields of medicine. Some patients averse to pharmaceutical medications or treatments that use animal products are drawn to PRP because of its entirely all-natural/all-self composition.
Hydrating Facials and Dermal Infusions
Dermal Infusion's innovative design provides a fully customizable approach to help address multiple skin concerns in one treatment. Suction is used to remove debris from the pores. While this is occurring, specially formulated serums are being delivered to the skin. The process is quick, efficient, and comfortable without requiring recovery or downtime. Additionally, unlike some skin treatments, dermal infusion is suitable for all skin types and tones.
Men's Aesthetics
Men have skin, too, and even age! All people want to put their best foot forward, and inevitably, our skin is our calling card. There are gender differences in aging, and a one-size-fits-all approach does not work. How we choose to age has a large impact on how others perceive us and how we perceive ourselves.
